Dear Pastor,

I am writing to you about my boyfriend. We had a fight about three weeks ago. After the fight, he has been telling people that he does not want me and that he has his girlfriend. We fought over a girl that I heard he had. The fight even caused us to end up at the police station.

The next day I was at my home and a lot of people came to me and told me that his family is saying a lot of things. He said that I should stop calling up his name. I honestly do not know what he is talking about, but all I know is that I do not want anything to do with him.

His relatives even went to one of my girlfriends and told her that I should come out of his life and find another man. I really want to tell him off but it does not matter anymore to me. On his birthday, he sent my friend to ask me what about his birthday present. I told him that I am not his woman, so he should not ask me for a present.

Last week, I was passing him and his friends on the road and they were teasing me about him, then he started calling me. I did not even look around to give him the impression that I want to be his friend. Our friends want us to get back together. I do not know what to do. Can you help me out here? I really need your advice.

You are a joker. You have written to me before and you told me that this man and you were always fighting. And now you have written again to say that both of you had another fight and it was reported to the police. You say you do not want the man. The relationship is over. But, on the other hand, you are saying that you do not know what to do because your friends are encouraging both of you to get back together.

I cannot encourage you to go back to this man because he does not respect women and he is constantly beating you. I am afraid this man might beat you to death. It would be wise for you to stay away from him for life.
