Pleasure P, Estelle sample reggae

Hasani Walters, STAR Writer

International stars Pleasure P and Estelle have teamed up on the record, Witness, from the former's upcoming mixtape and have added a reggae twist to the song.

The track samples songs produced by Clifton 'Specialist' Dillon like Mad Cobra's Flex, - which went gold for Columbia Records, and Buju Banton's controversial Boom Bye Bye which are both on the same rhythm.

The song was featured on MTV Buzzworthy, a blog by MTV about pop music, pop videos, pop stars, and pop culture.

Sampling is the act of taking a portion of a sound recording from a song and reusing it as an instrument or a sound recording in another song.

The 1992 rhythm and Mad Cobra's signature line, "flex, time to have sex," are used in the song.

Estelle also did well with reggae when she collaborated with Sean Paul on Come Over. Among her other reggae tracks is No Other Love with John Legend.

Fans on Youtube have been giving the song positive reviews reflected through their comments among which included, 'HOT!! I love the reggae vibe... Real? sexy and Estelle is my girl..'

Flex was featured on Mad Cobra's LP Hard to Wet, Easy to Dry and was a huge hit.

It topped the US Rap Singles chart, went to no.7 on the R&B chart and peaked at no.13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Its success brought the album to no.125 on the Billboard Top 200 charts.
