Kamar Brown's sublime goal gave Hellshire United a 1-0 advantage in the first-leg semi-final of the LIME Portmore Division Two football league at the Passagefort field last Sunday. Brown excited the crowd after he beat a defender and shot home past East Portmore Portals goalie, Emroy Neil, from 25 yards out. The ball lodged in the roof of the net after just three minutes into the game had elapsed. Hellshire, the more experienced and technically sound team on the pitch, dominated most of the game but failed to press home their clear advantage. Portals will have to lift their game considerably if they want to make a contest of the second leg. In the first semi-final match last Sunday, Westchester, the mid-season champs, defeated Westport 2-0, and will have a big advantage going into the second leg tomorrow. Lusheng Davis and Dane Thomas scored for the victors. |
