Broken heart |

Dear Pastor, I am writing to you with a broken heart. I got married to a man who is 10 years my junior. I really loved him. I knew him for a long time. He is a friend of my family in Jamaica. He was always at our house and he used to do anything for my parents. My father used to even allow him to drive his car and to take my mother to the supermarket and wherever she wanted to go. He attended the same church with them and they told me that he was a nice young man. When I went to Jamaica I took gifts for him and we went out. When I came back to America he called me and told me that he loves me and would like me to give him a chance in his life. I told him that he was too young for me but he said that he loves older women. He even told me that he had a woman who was older than I, but he left her because her children did not like him and one of her sons disrespected him. I spoke to my parents about him and they agreed for me to give him a chance. When my parents realised that he was going to be their son-in-law they allowed him to stay in their house and they took care of him. I went to Jamaica and we got married. He did not have to spend any money, I bought his suit, my dress and everything for the wedding and we got married. Less than a year after he came to live with me in America. Then he became a bad man. He did not listen to me. When I was on the night shift he took his girlfriends to the house and had sex with them. My neighbours told me that it was his regular habit. So I set a trap for him and caught him red-handed. One evening I told him that I was going to work but it was my night off. I pretended that I had left for work and in the space of an hour and a half I came back and caught him with one of his girlfriends. I kicked his butt out of my house that very night. I am proud of some of our Jamaican men but some of them come to this country and make a fool of themselves. I will never get married again. This has been my second marriage. He is begging me to forgive him but I am finished with him. B.S. Dear B. S., This man has deceived you and has blown the wonderful opportunity that you offered him to work hard and to do well in America. You were quite correct in throwing him out of your house. He needs to taste hard life. He has had life too easy. Do not take him back. Pastor |
