The Washington Times has reported that a Jamaican murder suspect is among more than 3,000 people arrested in the biggest immigration crackdown in the United States.

He has been identified as 34-year-old Carlington David Richards. It is reported that Richards, a resident of Federal Way, Washington, is an international fugitive wanted in Jamaica for murder.

He's expected to be extradited. It is reported that the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) agents, and other agencies targeted illegal immigrants with criminal records or histories of immigration violations in a six-day effort.

A total of 1,477 people with felony criminal convictions living in the United States illegally were arrested.

THE WEEKEND STAR understands that the operation which was dubbed 'Cross Check', involved more than 1,900 ICE officers and agents, as well as assistance from Homeland Security Investigations employees and local police. It is reported that nearly 700 of those arrested had previously been ordered to leave the country.
