There have been many reports of persons losing their money in partner draws because the person who is called the banker disappears or uses the money.

A higgler disclosed that she had two hands in a partner and so every week she paid $4,000 to another higgler who was the banker.

There were 20 persons in the partner and, according to the higgler, she was expecting to get $80,000 and the banker had said she would get the last two draws.

"The partner was to last for five months and so every week I made sure I paid my $4,000," she said

"All when I did not have enough money to buy food for my three children, I made sure I paid my partner money. I have to get up early in the mornings to go out to hustle because I had plans for my partner draw.

"It was my plan that, as soon as I get my draw, I would use it to buy more goods so I could make a bigger profit each day. I am a single mother because my children's father was shot and killed by gunmen three years ago.

"I have it very hard to care for my three fatherless children, because I have no one to help me to take care of them. Sometimes I have to go without lunch just to ensure that when they come home from school they have dinner.

"Can you imagine last week when I went to collect my partner draws that the so-called banker said some of the other persons have not been paying and so she did not have more than $20,000 to give me. I know all the other persons in the partner draw and I went to them and asked them, but they all say the woman was not speaking the truth. I worked so hard for my money, how can I lose my money?

"As a matter of fact, each time someone gets a draw they have to give the banker one hand of the money which would be $2,000. I am not sure if this is a matter that can be handled by the police," she said.

If you have proof that the banker collected the money and refused to pay you, then that is a criminal offence and you should report the matter to the police. She could be charged with larceny and taken before the court.
