Curfews still in effect

Several curfews that were imposed across the island yesterday will remain in effect until 6 p.m. today.

In Westmoreland, curfews are in effect in parts of Twelve Street and Dester in Savanna-la-Mar.

In the St Andrew Central Police Division, curfews have again been enforced in Bryce Hill, Swallowfield, Constitution Hill, Kintrye as well as Ivy, Elgin and Lyndhurst roads.

Restrictions have also been placed on residents in the volatile communities of Salt Spring, Hendon, Granville, Flankers and Rose Heights in St James.

Persons wishing to enter and leave the areas under curfew must get written permission from the police.
