The headless body of a man was found at his home on Lincoln Road, Brown's Town, in St Ann, on Sunday morning.

The house was also on fire when the discovery was made.

The dead man has been identified as Burnett Thomas.

Reports from the Brown's Town police are that about 8 a.m., residents saw fire coming from the home and went to investigate. Their checks led them to the body and they summoned the police. On arrival of the lawmen, the headless body was seen with several stab wounds.

Investigations continue.
