Raymond Graham, Star Writer Despite not competing in the non-traditional distance events Calabar's Orville Dixon will be crucial for the institution's title hopes when the ISSA Boys and Girls' Championships gets under way next week. Dixon will be seeking maximum points in the 800m-1500m in his first year in Class II after winning both events in the lower class a year ago. "I know that my team members and coach will be expecting a lot from me and I want to help in ensuring my team win the Championships by doing the best in my event," Dixon told StarSports. "I want a repeat of last year when I won the double," said Dixon who does not seem to be worried about stepping up to the higher class. "I am well prepared in both events as my season has gone very well so far and I definitely want the record in the 1500 metres. I think it is my best event and my focus is just to go out there and run my own race, I will not focus on anyone else in my races," said Dixon when asked who he thinks are his most dangerous competitors in both events. Dixon is very confident that his team can take home the title this time around in a year that the school will be celebrating 100 years. "We have a very strong all-round team and everyone is ready to make a big contribution. This is a special year for the school and we want to do something special by winning the title," he said.
