CET director gets bail extended

Omar Guyah, the chief principal officer and director of the Contraband Enforcement Team, CET, had his bail extended to May 1 when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on March 23.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey amended aspects of Guyah's bail conditions, removing the house arrest but ordered that his travel documents be surrendered instead. Guyah was arrested on March 9 at his home in Spanish Town, St Catherine, following an investigation in which it is alleged that he unlawfully disposed of approximately 14 high-end motor vehicles from the Customs Department.
