Court to decide if ... 18-y-o serial housebreaker remanded |

Rasbert Turner, Portmore Star Writer A teenager who the police said is a serial housebreaker was remanded when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. He is Roel Weeton, 18-year-old of Portmore, St Catherine. When Weeton appeared before Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green, it was revealed that he was recently released for a similar offence. He was ordered remanded until June 25. Allegations are that on February 29, the accused reportedly broke into a house. He allegedly stole a laptop jewellery, $68,000, US$60 and £40. He was held by the Bridgeport Police after a complainant identified the piece of jewellery. A warrant was prepared and the accused reportedly accompanied the police to a premises where a quantity of jewellery was discovered. Investigation is being led by Detective Corporal Wayne Wellington of the Bridgeport police station. |
