A Trelawny clergyman who has been accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl was granted $400,000 bail in the Falmouth Resident Magistrate's Court last Thursday. He is 46-year-old Alwyn Hall, a pastor of a church in Clark's Town in the parish. The pastor was arrested and charged last week. Hall is expected to return to court on April 23. As a condition of the clergyman's bail, he is to surrender his travel documents and make no contact with the victim. It is reported that the complainant is a grade-10 student of a high school in the parish. The Falmouth police say that it is being alleged that the abuse started some three years ago. |
