Rising dancehall artiste Rasco has gone old school with his latest single Rude Bwoy Rankin. The song is featured on the High Times rhythm and was produced by Sniggy from Head Concussion Records.

Outlining the story behind Rude Bwoy Rankin in a release, Rasco says the song, which tells the gritty tale of the streets, is something that he wanted to appeal to the mass.

"When I did this track, I wanted to create something that would appeal to a wide cross section of listeners. I wanted something that the everyday Jamaican can relate to. The song is the story of the streets, which is quite current with what's happening today", Rasco explained.

Producer Sniggy was quite accommodating when Rasco approached him with the song.

Said Sniggy, "When I first heard the lyrics for Rude Bwoy Rankin I knew it would fit into the old school vibe that I wanted for this particular project. The song brought out the vibe even more".

The reception to Rude Bwoy Rankin has been positive to date with airplay on FM radio accelerated over the past few weeks. The song is also getting spins in London and in Africa, where Rasco is fast developing a budding fan base.

Rude Bwoy Rankin is the follow up to Rasco's most recent single Anytime, which featured Chan Dizzy.

A video for Rude Bwoy Rankin is to be released shortly.
