High energy at Muse

With a bevy of young people, Muse was off to an early start at Club Privilege in New Kingston on Saturday night.

At midnight, the youthful patrons began to enter the venue. With most of the females skimpily clad, Katy Perry's California Girls seemed like an appropriate song. DJ Cyrus treated the patrons to a bit of dancehall with Voicemail's Dance The Night Away that was well received. This was followed by numerous pop and alternative songs such as Beyonce's Beautiful Nightmare. The selector went several years into the past with Sisqo's Thong Song, making the patrons sing along. Getting a taste of Potential Kidd's A Ya So Nice, they were dancing and singing.

The females in the audience seemed to be part of a chorale when Khia's My Neck My Back was being played, but their screams were near deafening when they heard Vybz Kartel's Freaky Gal.

Cyrus played more dancehall and then DJ Heavy D continued the high energy with soca songs. Tracks like Allison Hinds' Roll It Gal, Kes the Band's Wotless and Lil Rick's Go Dung had patrons fully entertained.

Maintaining the momentum, he also played Black Eyed Peas' I Gotta Feeling and Rihanna's We Found Love. There was an eventual switch to more hard-core dancehall songs like Vybz Kartel's Real Badman, Sizzla's No Way and Mavado's Full Clip.

THE STAR left at 2 a.m., and the party was still on a high.
