The apparent obsession of a man to still mentor a 15-year-old boy who used to be his stepson has landed him in trouble after he pleaded guilty to slapping the boy in his face during an argument. He is Wesley Wallace who has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm. Wallace was fined $15,000 or six months in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. It is reported that the complainant used to live with the accused, however, the death of the complainant's mother in 2010 caused him to leave. It is reported that on the day of the incident, the accused visited the complainant's school and started arguing with him. "I was to pick up something from his school on the day of the incident and out of ignorance, I boxed him during an argument. We were arguing about a phone.
