Bounty's trial to start June |

BARBARA GAYLE, Staff Reporter The trial of dancehall entertainer Bounty Killer, whose real name is Rodney Price, is to start in the Gun Court on June 20. Price is on bail and is charged jointly with former police con- stable Calis Bowen for illegal possession of firearm, assault at common-law and unlawful wounding. The charges against the men arose from a September 2007 incident. off-duty policeman The police had reported that on September 27, 2007, Bounty Killer and a group of men assaulted an off-duty policeman along St Lucia Avenue in New Kingston. It is reported that the policeman had left a club and noticed a number of vehicles blocking a section of the roadway. He reportedly signalled the men to clear the roadway when he was attacked, and a gun was allegedly pointed at him. Attorney-at-law Linda Wright is representing Price while attorney-at-law Christopher Townsend is representing Bown. |
