A game fowl with an estimated street value of $25,000 has landed a man in prison after he reportedly stole the bird from his brother.
Sentenced to 30 days in prison is Fedrick Brown who has been charged with larceny of poultry. Brown was sentenced in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. "Your Honour, I have been helping my brother with these birds from I was a child and I only borrowed the bird and the bird died," the accused told the court. However, the complainant told the court that his brother has stolen several of his birds, and he is hurt as he at times teaches school students about the birds. |
