Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

There was sheer laughter and excitement at a motel in Spanish Town, St Catherine, yesterday, when a man ran out on the street without his pants after he was robbed by two women.

A huge crowd gathered on a street close to Burke Road, after the man was seen running and crying for help.

"Help Lawd Jesus. She gone wid mi pants, mi money, mi phone and mi wallet gone. A wha mi a go do now," the half naked man said.

The spectacle unfolded about noon, minutes after the man and a female had gone into a room at the motel.

The man, who eventually retrieved his pants some distance away from the motel, was seen leaning on a fence along Burke Road.

He explained that he was lured into a trap by two girls who promised him sexual favours but instead ran off with his pants containing his money when he went to use the bathroom after entering the room.

According to bystanders, the man who appeared to be in his 50s had only a small amount of money on him when he met the women but was told to withdraw money from his debit card at an ATM machine.

"Yes a true. Is after him go draw di money at di machine dem decide fi tief him," a man was overheard telling another in the crowd.

The man who resides in Kingston is said to work in Spanish Town. "Him always drunk, about a week ago mi past him a sleep pon the road. Him a good man but him use too much rum," a female bystander said

While some joked about the incident others took it quite serious.

"This can make it bad for business. While it happened there today, it can spread to other places soon. It must be stopped," a business operator told THE STAR.

Meanwhile, when contacted, the Spanish Town police indicated that they had not received any report on the matter.
