Ricardo Monroe ... scored in August Town's 2-0 win over Rae Town.. - file Defending champions Cavalier extended their lead atop the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League to seven points following their 2-1 win on Greenwich Town on the weekend. Joel Nicholas grabbed both goals in the second and 66th minutes in securing Cavalier's 10th win from 14 matches, propelling them to 33 points. Tyrone Davis had pulled Greenwich Town level in the 33rd minute as they slumped to their sixth defeat to be in sixth spot with 18 points. Former champions August Town beat Rae Town 2-0 and swapped places into second spot on 26 points, the same as Rae Town in third. Ricardo Monroe opened the scoring in the 40th minute before veteran Daniel Shaw sealed the win with a penalty in the 70th minute. Mountain View consolidated fourth spot on 25 points after clipping Rockfort 1-0 courtesy of Deno Williams' 26th-minute goal. Meanwhile, Rockfort have slipped two places to 10th with 13 points. Barbican remained in fifth spot with 21 points as their game with Olympic Gardens was not played because of lack of proper security. Olympic slipped a spot to eighth on 15 points. Constant Spring climbed two places to seventh on 16 points with a 1-0 win over cellar team Duhaney Park with 10 points. The University of the West Indies (UWI) came from two goals down to beat Santos 3-2 and jumped three places into ninth on 14 points. Santos slipped to 11th on 12 points despite two early goals from Leon Gordon and Odayne Jack in the 25th and 51st minutes. André Bernal reduced the arrears for UWI in the 63rd minute before Kemar Cummings grabbed a brace in the 70th and 83rd minutes for a crucial win. Police National remained on top of the KSAFA Major League despite losing 2-1 to Shortwood United. Police, who were losing for just the second time from 14 matches, remained on 34 points and were joined at the top by Allman/ Woodford, who drew 0-0 with Meadforest United. Kemarley Samuels and Marlon Barnes scored two goals in two minutes in the 30th and 32nd minutes, respectively, as Shortwood are a clear third with 26 points. Craig Gayle scored a consolation goal for Police in the 69th minute. Brown's Town moved to 23 points in fifth spot after playing to a 1-1 draw with Bull Bay, who are seventh on 20 points. Christopher Johnson scored for Brown's Town in the 43rd minute while Kemar Cockbourne netted for Bull Bay in the 61st minute. Real Mona, also on 23 points, but with a better goal difference, are fourth. The games between Pembroke Hall/Cooreville Gardens and New Kingston/Maxfield Park are rescheduled for a later date. The match between Swallowfield and Molynes United was not played. Maxfield Park are sixth on 20 points, with Pembroke Hall eighth with 18 points, followed by Meadforest, ninth on 18, and Cooreville in 10th on 14 points. New Kingston, with 11, Swallowfield on nine, and Molynes United, with five points, are in 11th, 12th and 13th places, respectively.
