The bodies of a man and woman who the police are theorising may have been involved in a relationship were found with multiple gunshot wounds, locked inside a car in St Catherine yesterday.

The bodies were found in an area where residents say is a rendezvous point for lovers.

Police identified the woman as Stacey-Ann Grant, 23-year-old, cashier, of a Rockfort address in Kingston; the male is unidentified.

About 12:15 p.m., crime scene investigators were called to the Caymanas Bay area of St Catherine. Upon their arrival, a Nissan March motor car was seen parked near a cell site.

When the vehicle was checked,Grant's body was found on the front seat, while the other body was found on the back seat.

Police investigators revealed both victims received multiple gunshots to their heads.

As the news spread throughout the community, scores of residents converged and expressed shock about the incident.

"She left me yesterday saying she was going to Spanish Town, I have not seen her since," a male relative said.

Another man, who said he was involved with Grant, said he last spoke to her the night before, and she stated that she had been fine. He said he was shocked to find her dead in a vehicle.

Other persons gave their view on where the bodies were located.

"This is an area where persons often come to do their thing. But this is really sad," Michelle Bromwell said.

Other persons said they saw the car there for hours, but thought nothing of it.

"When mi pass the car there last night mi never know it was dead people inside. It really scary still," a male bystander said.

The police theorised that the victims were shot elsewhere and dumped at the location.

Investigation is being undertaken by the St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force.
