Jevaughn Laing, the nephew of veteran events promoter Isaiah Laing, is ready to make his mark in the entertainment industry with the staging of his first mainstream event, Rum Fire Ochi Explosion. According to the young promoter, while he is still a member of his uncle's company, Supreme Promotions, this event will be executed under his own company, Laing Events Management. The event is slated to take place at Margaritaville in Ocho Rios on May 26, and will be a fusion of party experience and performances. "Me and my uncle Laing were talking and he advised me to come up with a unique concept, so I decided to go for the fusion of party and stage show vibe, and it ago shot," he said. According to Jevaughn, the party is right on the eve of summer and should be the icebreaker for the party season. "This is going to be the beginning of the summer events, and I promise patrons will get more than what they bargain for; you will get to see your favourite artistes in action and, overall, it will be an exceptional event," he said. The general admission to attend Ochi Explosion will be $1,000. Women will pay $500 before 11 p.m., and VIP will attract a price of $1,500. Sponsors of the event include Rum Fire, Zip 103 and Thine Line Clothing, among others. |
