Russia was recently given a taste of Jamaican dancing when popular dancers Raddy Rich and Crazy Hype took part in Dancehall International that was held from February 23-26 in Moscow.

The event consisted of workshops where the Jamaicans were among other international dancers from countries such as France, Brazil, Russia, USA and Haiti who taught dance classes to persons from various countries. The two also participated in 'dance battles' showcasing their talent to their students and were a part of the judging panel for the battles between the students.

The experience proved to be a good one for them as both considered the experience as one of the highlights of their careers.

"It was amazing. It was one of the best experiences in my life from dancing. My dance, 'Badda Wave', everybody was using it in their routines. It's as if dem a study mi. The dance big in Jamaica and I am big in Jamaica but over there is like on a whole different level. Trust mi dem love dancehall," said Raddy Rich.

"Mi shell down the place a way. Dem couldn't get enough a mi, they just wanted to see more," he continued.

Crazy Hype, leader of the M.O.B. dance group shared similar comments with The STAR on the success of the trip.

"The experience was great and at the same time it was a good tour. The organisers were very surprised when I started dancing. They were saying that I was the best dance teacher from Jamaica dem ever meet and I don't know who else dem meet before," he laughed.

Since the event, he said he has received proposals from different persons in Russia to return and dance.

His M.O.B. dance group which consists of five members: Cojo, Cash Banga, Unknown and Tom M.O.B., are busy promoting their dances 'Paper Note', 'Here and There' and their newest 'Push Dem Out'.

They have appeared in recent videos such as Fambo's Brighter Days and Jah Malo's Gal Over Gun.

Last year, Crazy Hype was a judge and host at the Dancehall Queen Competition in Guadeloupe and is now looking forward to an even busier year.

Raddy Rich who participated in Dancehall Battle, which was held in Martinique in 2010, has another battle in Barbados on March 14 where he will compete against some of the best dancers from Barbados.

He was also the recipient of Dance JA's 'Best Male Dancer of the Year' award for 2011 and has appeared in music videos such as Sean Kingston and Nicki Minaj's Letting Go and more recently in Konshen's Do Sumn and the School Fee Riddim Medley video.
