Blake to lead Racers at Gibsons

Blake - file

Unlike the Girls it should be more competitive among the boys as the likes of Kingston College, Calabar, Manchester High, Wolmer's and Jamaica College will be involved in an epic affair.

After winning some seven events last year, it has been a quiet season so far for Jamaica College, but they could be waiting for tomorrow to explode like they did last year. With the likes of Rohan Walker, Tyler Mason and Edward Clarke in their line-up, the Old Hope Road School are set to dominate Class II and should walk away with both the 4x100 and 4x200 metres events, despite the credentials of Wolmer's Boy's and the Michael O'Horo-led Calabar team.

Among clubs and institutions, all eyes will be on the Glen Mills-coached Racers Track Club who are coming to dominate like they did last year. In the 4x100 metres relay where they have entered two teams they could run 1-2 as with the World 100 metres champion Yohan Blake expected to anchor one of the teams, even without World 200 metres champion Usain Bolt, they are well set to dominate.

Following their upset win over MVP in the 4x100 metres at the MILO Western Relays, the Okeile Stewart-coached Swept Club will be eyeing more success as their teams include the likes of Dexter Lee and former MVP representative Ainsley Waugh, but this time around they will have two hot Racers teams to deal with and could find the running too tough to handle.
