PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC):

Former Trinidad and Tobago captain Daren Ganga has been called up to a 15-man squad in preparation for their fourth-round tussle with Windward Islands in the Regional Four-Day Championship today.

Ganga resigned as skipper following the Super50 one-day tournament in Guyana and was promptly left out for the Caribbean Twenty20 last month.

The experienced 33-year-old will provide cover in the batting department, especially with West Indies batsmen Adrian Barath and Lendl Simmons ruled out of this weekend's clash with injuries.

Barath was forced to retire hurt after being struck on the hand in T&T's second innings against Barbados at Kensington Oval last weekend, while Simmons fractured a finger after he had replaced injured captain Denesh Ramdin behind the stumps.

T&T will be again without fast bowler Ravi Rampaul who has failed to recover from injury.

The squad will be trimmed to 13 following a practice session.
