Man on murder rap remanded

Lorenzo Hall, the man who has been accused of fatally stabbing a University of Technology student during a dispute over a woman, was again remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Hall, who has been charged with murder, is to return to court on April 15.

The prosecution told the court the post-mortem report was still outstanding.

Dead is 21-year-old Alex Brown.

Allegations are that Brown was visiting a female friend in the community of Elletson Flats.

Hall reportedly arrived and an argument developed between them.

It is reported that a knife was then used to stab Brown in the chest.

The police were summoned and Brown was taken to the University Hospital of the West Indies where he died while being treated.

Hall is being represented by attorney-at-law Keith Bishop.
