Bounty happy about Lifetime Achievement nomination |

Bounty Killer - File Dancehall icon Bounty Killer has been nominated for a Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to dancehall in this year's BME (Boston's Most Elite) Awards. The artiste who has been in the music industry for over 20 years says he welcomes the much deserved recognition. "It feels honourable to be honoured for so many good deeds and I know that there are a lot more out there like this. My motto is to do good and good shall follow, plus all my musical contributions are public knowledge, most of the good I did were in the public eye, so most of my credits are undeniable, so much appreciation and respect" he told The weekend STAR. coveted award The artiste, who is currently without a US visa, also revealed that a representative would be sent on his behalf to collect the coveted award. Bounty Killer was also awarded for his contribution to the music by the organisers of Reggae Sumfest during the 2010 staging of the show. The award was presented by Summerfest Productions' boss, Johnny Gourzong. The veteran artiste, who is also credited for the exposure of some of the most prolific dancehall artistes locally, was also awarded by MIA awards in 2010 in the category of DJ of the Year. The BME Boston's Most Elite Awards will be held on May 19 at the Champagne Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. - C.C.
