The St Ann police are investigating a suspected case of suicide in the parish on Saturday.

Dead is 23-year-old Taganie Smith, of Trysee district in Brown's Town, in the parish. Smith was found hanging from a tree in the community about 3:10 p.m. It is suspected that he committed suicide.

According to the Brown's Town police, Smith had an argument with a relative on Wednesday and left his house, however, he did not return.

Passers-by found Smith's body hanging by a piece of electrical cord attached to a tree at a cattle farm. The police were called and the body was removed.
