Stone Crusher gang members jailed

Four persons who are believed to be Stone Crusher gang members remain in police custody after they were arrested in Hanover on Friday.

It is reported that the four, three males and a female, were arrested after they allegedly robbed a taxi operator in Langston Bay, Hanover.

According to the police, about 2 p.m., on Friday, the female chartered the taxi from Green Island to a community in Langston Bay.

While there, the taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint of his valuables and his motor car.

It is reported that the four then escaped in the stolen vehicle and a Honda Civic motor car.

According to the police, they were tipped off, and they managed to intercept the vehicles.

It is reported that after a brief chase both the stolen vehicle and the Honda motor car crashed, and the occupants were taken to hospital where they were treated then arrested.

The police are theorising that a gun that was reportedly found in one of the vehicles is believed to be linked to a murder four years ago.

Investigations are ongoing.
