An 18-year-old female accused of sexually molesting a nine-year-old girl was granted $100,000 bail in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate Court on Friday. The woman, who is charged with grievous sexual assault, sexual grooming of a child and sexual touching of a child, is to return to court on June 16 when the matter will again be mentioned. She is being represented by Earl Hamilton. The woman was said to have committed the act at her home while she played music. It was revealed that the child, who was lured to the woman's house after hearing music, started to dance when she was held by the accused. She reportedly used her finger and mouth on the child's private area. Another child, who is a relative of the victim, reportedly saw the woman in the act but was threatened. The story was revealed after the 18-year-old sent a text laced with her sexual explicit desires to the child. The text was seen by the child's mother, who, upon enquiring, was told what had transpired. A subsequent report was made to the police and the woman was arrested. |
