A video of a fight between two female university students yesterday became an instant rage online accumulating thousands of views in a matter of hours.

The little over one-minute long video, which was recorded yesterday afternoon, showed the females throwing blows, rolling on the ground and pulling out each other's hair.

Panting and pacing the ground before the start of the fight, one girl said, "Yuh don't ..... know mi enuh. Yuh think I am a ....... uptown girl? A long time mi hot fi yuh."

When the fight started, there were deafening shouts coming from the large crowd of students who had converged on the scene.

"Yow, a yah so nice," a male shouted in an animated voice while laughing.

After winning the battle, the aggressor, who was speaking at the beginning of the video, shouted, "Tek yuh hair, tek yuh dutty hair."

At 10 last night, one version of the video which was being shared on Twitter had already racked up more than 21,000 views, up from 12,000 at 9 p.m. for a fight that took place at approximately 5 p.m. Another video on YouTube had 300 views.

The video was also picked up by a website called Elite Society, which gave an explanation for what they claim was the cause for the fight. The video was also on wickedhype.com.

After the incident, numerous persons flooded social networks like Twitter and Facebook with their comments.

"Mi hear dah bax deh," one person said, while another said: "Dis fight all ova mi TL lawd it really a go viral."

"If I send my pickney go UWI for $200k a year and dem go pap fight ... Look yah no...," another person tweeted.

There was someone else who expressed disappointment at the incident. "20 yrs of UWI an dem commemorate it wit a fight, is not a good look," the person said.

Also on Facebook, there was a photo making fun of the situation with the words 'Here it comes ...#gazabox' added to a picture of the two girls fighting. That picture was also being shared at a fast pace.

Others commented on the reason for the fight.
