Woman charged with sister's murder
The St Catherine woman who was recently taken into custody after her sister's body was found in a shallow grave in Portsmouth in the parish has been charged with murder.

Suzan Smith was charged on Monday by the St Catherine South police and is booked to appear in court on Tuesday. Dead is 35-year-old Stacey-Ann Smith.

It is reported that the 35-year-old victim, who worked in the Cayman Islands, went missing two days after her return to the island on January 29.

Both sisters reportedly had a dispute.

According to the police, they had received a call informing them that a foul odour was coming from a house at 601 Landport Way in Portsmouth.

The house is shared by the two sisters.

Stacey-Ann's body was found buried in a shallow grave at the back of the house, where a room was being constructed.

The police are theorising that other persons were probably involved in the murder.
