After over an hour of non-stop delivery of hits and the announcement of the end of the show, the still-hungry crowd did not budge, demanding more from veteran artiste Beres Hammond.

This feature of the One Love Concert Series was moved from the upper deck of The Jungle Nightclub to the car park to accommodate the expected bumper crowd. Hammond was selected to handle the Valentine version of the series and he did so in fine style, with the support of his Harmony House Band and harmonisers.

The 56-year-old legend hit the stage at a gallop and never cut his strides, enjoying the screams of delight from his anxious supporters and their singalongs at every single song that was sung.

He gracefully opened his performance singing, What can you do to stop a man from trying and then unto mega hit Step aside now, thereon unleashed hit after hit to include One Dance, She loves me now, Come back home and the giant single Tempted to touch.

The dynamics of his obviously well-thought-of show was in order, and this was quite noticeable as he brought things to a trot with some well-appreciated ballads which simply added to the momentum of the high-quality delivery. Love is never to say that you're sorry, One step ahead and I feel good were in this segment, which raised the decibel level of the screams.

Groovy Little Thing, Double Trouble, Putting up a Resistance and Pull up the Vibes cannot be excluded, being the favourites of many, and with those plus many more, the show was an enormous success with respect to coordination and execution.

But it was not just about Beres. A.J. 'Boots' Brown was passing through the venue and shared I wonder what the people said with Beres.

The concert series at The Jungle continues on Tuesday with Toots and the Maytals, followed by Tarrus Riley the following Tuesday.
