I love my August man |

Dear Pastor, I came to Kingston when I was 18 years old. I was tired of the hard life I had in country. I am the third child for my parents. My father is a poor farmer and my mother did a little buying and selling. When I came to Kingston, I was staying with some friends. One of the girls had a boyfriend, but she knew another guy who was interested in her so she introduced me to him. I liked him and he liked me. He was 30 years old, but he did not tell me his age. This man took my virginity. He was the first man who bought me fast food. He told me he had a babymother, but they were not living together and she has two children that were not his. He also said that he was looking for a wife. He wanted me to come to live with him. He only had one room. I went to live with him. I begged him not to get me pregnant. The landlady didn't like me at first, but she changed. He said he was not leaving me because I was the first girl he had sex with who was a virgin. Pastor, I am now going to school. He was born in August. He is a good August man. Satisfied Girlfriend Dear Satisfied Girlfriend, I hope this man will continue to treat you well and that you will be faithful to him, and that both of you will eventually get married. I trust he will not get you pregnant but will help you to get a good education. Although I understand your situation, I have to let you know it is not wise for a young girl to live in concubinage, so as soon as both of you are able, get married. Encourage this man to continue to support the child he has with his former girlfriend. Pastor |
