A man who is accused of stabbing a woman because she tried to rob him was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

He is Leonardo Simon who has been charged with murder.

Simon was remanded for psychiatric evaluation and he is to return to court on February 29.

The court heard that Simon and the female were in a bar when the woman went to purchase chicken.

It is reported that moments later the woman was seen running towards the bar saying that she was stabbed.

The court further heard that the woman who was reportedly stabbed with a knife was later rushed to hospital where she died.

Upon investigations done by the police, the accused was later arrested and charged.
