Woman charged with breaches of the Customs Act

A woman who had a flight to catch on February 8 had to have it cancelled when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on the same day before Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly Williams for breaches of the Customs Act.

Charmaine Grannell pleaded guilty to the charges and had her bail extended until February 16.

The court heard that Grannell unlawfully had in her possession packs of Matterhorn and Craven 'A' cigarettes at her premises and had no proper licence for the items she had procured.
