The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) has launched a probe into an incident in which a man known only as 'Toby' was fatally shot by the police at Treadlight district, Race Track, in Clarendon, about 3 p.m. yesterday.

A 9mm pistol was reportedly seized in the incident.

The matter has been reported to the Independent Commission of Investigations.
