Waterhouse closed the gap on Red Stripe Premier League leaders Portmore United to a mere three points after registering their third consecutive 1-0 win, the latest coming against Reno at the Frome Sports Complex.

Gary McIntosh's fourth goal of the season in the 57th minute was enough to earn the Donovan

Duckie-coached Waterhouse maximum points, as they progressed to 42 points, just three adrift of Portmore (45).

The loss was a great blow to Reno, as it saw them slip into the relegation zone in 11th place on 24 points.

Portmore had to come from behind to earn a point against Humble Lion at the Effortville Community Centre after going behind to a t3th-minute strike by Omando McLoud. The Lions went on to dominate the first half, but Portmore's talisman Tramaine Stewart curled home a beautiful free kick in stoppage time (45+1) to earn his team a draw.

This was Humble Lion's first point of the season against the leaders, having lost the two previous encounters to leave them fifth on 35 points.

Highgate United registered their largest margin of victory this season and the largest of the round, blanking Harbour View 3-0 at Lynch Park. The win broke a sequence of four straight losses for the St Mary-based team.

Roberto Fletcher (4th and 45th) netted a brace, while Steve Green (12th) scored the third for his new team. The win saw Highgate climb out the relegation zone to 10th, on 24 points, while Harbour View slipped a place to seventh courtesy of an inferior goal difference to Montego Bay United; both have 33 points.

Sixth-place Montego Bay played out a nil-all stalemate with Boys' Town at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex. Boys' Town remain fourth on 36 points, the same as the idle Tivoli Gardens, who have a superior goal difference.

Cellar dwellers Village United put a rare tick in the winners' column as they clipped Sporting Central Academy 1-0 at Brancourt.

The league's leading scorer, Dino Williams, netted the game's lone goal, which was his 10th of the season to extend ninth-place Sporting's winless streak to 10 games. Village have now amassed 19 points.

Eighth-place Arnett Gardens (30) will host third-place Tivoli Gardens (36) at the Anthony Spaulding Complex in a 7 p.m. encounter.
