The St Catherine North police are probing the circumstances surrounding a double murder in the parish on Tuesday night.

Dead are 22-year-old Leroy Campbell of 204 Brunswick Avenue and 24-year-old Stephen Dorrant both of St Catherine addresses.

Reports are that about 10 p.m., both men were at Campbell's house when heavily armed men opened fire at the house.

It is reported that one of the men died on the spot and the other was taken to hospital where he later died.

The police are theorising that an internal gang violence involving the Clansman gang might have resulted in the murders.
