She wants the best for you |

Dear Pastor, I am an 18-year-old student. I think my future looks bright with my boyfriend, who my mother disapproves of because he is not attending college like me. She feels he is not up to standard. He has a good job and is respected by many. She wants me to date men like lawyers and doctors. I need your advice. University Student Dear Student, You are only 18. To you, it appears that your future is bright with this young man. You cannot be sure. These are early days yet. Why should you be against your mother for wanting you to date a man who is seeking to have higher education, like you, or professional men? She wants the best for you. On the other hand, you are an adult. You may date the men you prefer. Your boyfriend might not be educated, but you should encourage him to go back to school. Don't get carried away with your relationship and don't ignore the advice of your parents. Pastor |
