The man who has been accused of breaking into an elderly man's home to steal his 'Rambo' bicycle was sentenced to three months' imprisonment in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday. He is Ralston Blake, who was charged with receiving stolen property. In his prior court appearance, Blake told the court that he didn't break into the complainant's house, but had borrowed the bicycle from a friend. "Your Honour, I was riding the bicycle one day and this man took me off the bicycle and said that I bruk into his house and stole the bicycle," Blake told the court. Blake later pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. When asked by Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey why he should not go to prison, Blake told the court that he had to pick up his tax registration number (TRN). "Your Honour, I have a lot of things to look about. I have my TRN to pick up and I am a hard-working man," Blake told the court. |
