According to veteran selector Geefus, Stone Love is legendary, hence their job is to lead by example.

"I have been with Stone Love for the majority of my career spanning over 20 years. A lot of entertainers have been developed by this sound system, and as a legend sound, we have to show our appreciation by recognising talent and growth and show an example," Geefus said.

The award ceremony got on the way at 2 a.m. when host DJ Cigar signalled to the nominees to come closer to the main stage.

DJs Boom Boom and Harriot were the first major personalities to be awarded for the night when they were bestowed with the award of Best Party Selectors for 2011.
