Shaw ... scored a double for August Town. - File The semi-finalists in the Jamaica Yellow Pages Jackie Bell Knockout have been decided. Boys' Town will face Harbour View and Arnett Gardens will oppose Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Stadium next Sunday in two mouth-watering match-ups. Boys' Town defeated Cavalier 3-1 on aggregate while Harbour View advanced ahead of Waterhouse on the away goal rule after playing to a 2-2 draw at Drewsland to finish 3-3 on aggregate. Tivoli Gardens won 4-0 on aggregate over August Town after winning both legs 2-0 while Arnett Gardens got a by after the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) withdrew from the competition. KSAFA Super League Meanwhile Rae Town reduced Cavalier's lead atop of the KSAFA Super League to just one point after brushing aside Barbican 3-1 in their high-profile clash while Cavalier could only muster a 0-0 draw with Santos. Rae Town had Stephen Squire to thank for their seventh victory from 11 games as he grabbed a brace in the ninth and 14th minutes. Jermaine Fletcher put the icing on the cake in injury time. Sheldon Nelson scored for Barbican in the 51st minute. Rae Town are unto 23 points, just one behind leaders Cavalier on 24 points while Barbican slipped one place to fourth on 18 points. Santos remained in 10th spot with 11 points. Despite being held to a 0-0 draw by Greenwich Town, Mountain View climbed into third spot with 19 points while Greenwich Town dropped a place to sixth on 17 points. Veteran Daniel Shaw netted twice in the 30th and 40th minutes propelling August Town to a convincing 3-0 thumping of the hapless Duhaney Park. Nicholas Grant scored the other for August Town in the 71st minute as they gained one spot to fifth on 17 points while Duhaney Park continue to struggle, losing their sixth game to be second from bottom with nine points. Olympic Gardens moved into seventh place on 14 points following their comfortable 3-0 win over Rockfort at Cling Cling Oval. Marcus Morrison opened the scoring in the 16th minute before Tyrone Davis doubled the advantage in the 29th minute. Lebert Wong sealed the win with a strike in the 90+3 minute. Rockfort with their sixth defeat of the season, swapped places with Olympic Gardens and are down in eighth spot with 11 points. Cellar team University of the West Indies (UWI) recorded a rare win edging Constant Spring 2-1 but remained firmly at the bottom of the league with eight points. Ramoun Reid scored both goals in the seventh and 34th minutes as UWI secured just their second win from 11 matches and closed to within just three points of eighth-placed team Rockfort. Dwayne Stewart replied for Constant Spring which stayed in ninth spot on 11 points. Major League Police National continue to curfew the KSAFA Major League by beating Meadforest 1-0 to maintain their slender lead atop the tables with 25 points. Reinard Grant netted the winner in the 68th minute. Meadforest who started the day in sixth spot, dropped three places to ninth on 14 points. Allman/Woodford stayed in second spot with 24 points following their 2-0 blanking of the struggling Molynes United. Gary Lewis and Andre Aaron scored for Allman/Woodford. Molynes United who were losing an unbelievable 10th match from 11 games, stayed at the bottom of the league with three points. Brown's Town leapt three spots to sixth on 15 points after edging Shortwood United 1-0 courtesy of a Tackay Whyte strike in the 74th minute. Shortwood who were losing for just the third time, stayed third on 18 points. The games between New Kingston/Cooreville Gardens; Bull Bay/Pembroke Hall and Maxfield Park/Real Mona all ended in 0-0 stalemates. Real Mona are fourth on 17 points ahead of Maxfield Park in fifth on 16, Pembroke Hall are down in seventh with 15 points just one ahead of Bull Bay. New Kingston are 10th with 10 points with Swallowfield on nine ahead of Cooreville Gardens on eight points. |
