I am not going to say whether you are wrong or right. I think your wife might be upset if you were to wake her up just to have sex with her. She has never complained, so there is no need for you to worry. I rather suspect when your wife wakes up she must suspect you have had sex with her, because the signs would be there if you did not wear a condom.
