Portmore police find body

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

The Portmore police yesterday found the body of a man believed to be the second of two who were abducted in Kingston on Wednesday.

Police reports are that about 4 p.m., people spotted a grey Mitsubishi vehicle parked close to a garage in Southboro, St Catherine.

Police, called to the scene, observed that the body of a male was in the trunk wrapped in a sheet.

His death is said to be a reprisal of a man who was killed in Kingston in December.

Scores of persons, including students from the nearby Bridgeport Primary School, converged on the scene.

On Wednesday about 2:30 p.m., the other body was found in bushes at Grange Lane in the municipality. The Weekend Star was told that the body had a number of gunshot wounds.

"The upper part of the body had several wounds believe to be gunshots, further investigation is being done to ascertain the identity," Superintendent Clive Blair said.

Meanwhile personnel from the St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force is conducting a further probe in the matter. The police said both men are yet to be identified.
