Star Tell Me Pastor

Married to a lazy man

Dear Pastor,

I am married but my husband doesn't put any effort into the relationship. He is also lazy. It doesn't matter to him if I do go to work each day while he stays at home. He doesn't take me out or even bring anything special home for me. I treat him as a king. Whenever I question him about the things he doesn't want to do, he says he can stand up to anything.

I need your fatherly advice.

Frustrated Wife

Dear Frustrated Wife,

Perhaps your husband has taken you for granted. Perhaps he believes you love him so much you are satisfied with whatever he does. Some men do not know how to take care of their women. They believe the only thing important is sex, so they talk about servicing their women. If the woman is being serviced, (meaning having sex with them) she should be satisfied.

You have spoken to your husband many times about the relationship and his attitude towards it. Perhaps you should encourage him to go with you to see a family counsellor. He may say he cannot find a job so, please, try to help him to find a job. Also try and tell your friends to help you find a job for him.
