I am a regular reader of your column and I listen to your show every night. I don't go to bed until you are off. I am 25 and my girlfriend is 19. I went down to the area where she used to live before she came to live with me. I found out that my girlfriend sold sex and a lot of guys in and outside the community know about her. When I went there with her, she was well dressed. I went into a shop and heard people talking about her. I felt embarrassed and ashamed. They did not know that she is my girlfriend.

Pastor, I still love her. Do you think I should break up with her? I need your fatherly advice.

Dear H.T.,

This young lady might have worked as a prostitute because she had financial needs to be met. She is not practising prostitution anymore. Perhaps she was rather promiscuous and all the boys were going to her for sex. Since meeting you, she has changed and you still love her, so stay with her. Perhaps what both of you can do is to go and see a family counsellor who could give you guidance
