Divisional Commander for St James, Senior Superintendent of Police Linette Williams-Martin, yesterday announced the reopening of the police station located at 14 Barnett Street in Montego Bay. The Barnett Street Police Station is also the headquarters of the Island Special Constabulary Force (ISCF) Region 1 (Westmoreland, Hanover, St. James and Trelawny). "The Barnett Street Police Station will be reopened on a phased basis starting today with a component from Criminal Investigations, Street Crimes unit and a guard room. In time we will have all the elements of a full station," the SSP said. The Barnett Street Police Station was destroyed by fire in 2010. |
