Pim Pim offered bail |

Studio engineer Andre Henry, otherwise known as 'Pim Pim', who has been accused of conspiring with dancehall entertainers Adijah 'Vybz Kartel' Palmer and Vanessa 'Gaza Slim' Saddler to pervert the course of justice was offered bail in court yesterday until February 1. Henry was given $200,000 bail with surety in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court. He also had to submit his fingerprints to the police. As a condition of his bail, Henry was ordered to report to the Constant Spring Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. He was also ordered to surrender his travel documents and a stop order was put in effect. The Crown is alleging that Vybz Kartel sought the services of both Pim Pim and Gaza Slim to pervert the course of justice to throw off police murder investigations into the killing of Clive 'Lizard' Williams. Furthermore, it is alleged that Pim Pim was on the run and therefore made himself unavailable even though it was widely publicised that he was wanted by the police. In contrast, Pim Pim's attorney, Ravil Golding, argued that the Crown's allegations were unfounded as his client was never on the run and could be found at his home and his music studio all along. 'Pim Pim' gained recognition after he was mentioned in Vybz Kartel songs such as Slow Motion and Why Pree. |
