Incomplete file postpones German child porn case

Because of an unsubmitted file which was not presented by the police to the court on time, the German man who was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography was not brought before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday as expected.

He is Sven Littkowski, a businessman from Musgrave Avenue, St Andrew.

Up to press time last night, no definitive date was given when the file would be submitted to the crown.

According to a prior release from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN), the arrest follows an operation conducted at Littkowski's premises by personnel from the Denham Town Police Station.

According to the CCN, several computers and hard drives on which sexually explicit photographs and videos of minors are stored, were seized.

The case file and evidence were subsequently referred to the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) for further investigations.

THE STAR understands that OCID investigators also obtained evidence which indicated that the accused illegally performed the duties of a doctor who could provide fertility treatment for women and have since recorded statements to substantiate the claim.

The police are now appealing to persons who visited Littkowski for treatment at his home to contact the OCID at 967-1389, 922-3771 or call 119.
