The police in St Ann are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a seven-year-old boy in bushes in Scarlet Hall, Runaway Bay, St Ann, yesterday afternoon.

The body has been identified as that of Delano Greenwood, a student of the Hoolebury Primary School.

Reports are that Greenwood left home about 10 a.m.

When the child could not be located, his father went in search of him.

He later discovered the boy's body in bushes less than a quarter of a mile from his home in Scarlett Hall Meadows.

The police say no motive has been established for the killing.
